Wow, it feels like ages since I last posted any content on the blog and because of that I wanted to ensure you all that despite not creating fashion content, life has been happening and why not share a piece of that with you all instead of not posting at all, right? Silly me. However, if you have been following me on social media, you will know of the few things that have me so preoccupied. But, I haven’t stopped planning for posts to come which I can’t wait to share with you all. For now, I thought I would share this personal experience with very close friends that I now consider family.
FROM NWA WITH LOVE
On June 20th, at a village just north of Mozambique a celebratory event took place. Now, it’s definitely not just any type of event when the President of the republic is the guest of honour. So let me explain with more detail!
The event was in fact a celebration of what would have been Eduardo Chivambo Mondlane’s 96th birthday. For those who don’t know,
Eduardo Chivambo Mondlane served as the founding President of the Mozambican Liberation Front (FRELIMO) from 1962, the year that FRELIMO was founded in Tanzania, until his assassination in 1969. He was an anthropologist by profession but worked as a history and sociology professor at Syracuse University. (read more about him here – source wikipedia)
