OOTD | Yellow? Yassssss…

Happy Mozambican Women’s day to all my fellow Mozambican women! A very special day for us and just in time to remind us all just how far we’ve come and how far we still need to go – Cheers to us!

I’ve been trying to get into the hang of shooting a few outfits of the day (OOTD) as I’m dashing out the door but I’ve come to realize that this so called plan is not full proof, however today, I managed to….

Due to today’s occasion I decided to wear a custom wax print fitted shift dress that’s been in the closet since I had it made for a friends traditional ceremony. This yellow print is all shades of “happiness”, I’ve always found yellow to be rather cheeky but in a light and cheerful way, it’s a colour that never takes itself too seriously but has the power to transform, whether you’re styling clothes or your home. Have you ever paired yellow with grey? I mean yellow is the color of bottled happiness, friendship, warmth, flowers, lemons, and of course sunshine, offering fresh appeal in each of its many variations.

My custom printed dress features deep black circular lines, the seamstress had to strategically cut the fabric in order for the print to be presented this way. Are you a fan of wax print fabrics?
